Welcoming & Inclusive Communities Toolkit: Templates and tools for Alberta’s municipalities (AUMA)

Advisory Council, Research

This toolkit is designed to help your municipality become a better place for everyone. A Welcoming and Inclusive Community (WIC) initiative is no longer an option for Alberta’s municipalities. It is a necessity. Not only to comply with legal requirements related to access; municipalities must now focus on WIC principles for their long-term sustainability. As the population changes, and as immigration becomes the main source of growth, local governments that undertake WIC initiatives will be more competitive and prepared for the future.

Talent Pool Employers Resource & Information Hub

The Talent Pool is the Employers’ Resource and Information Hub.  We are a not -for-profit organization supporting Western Canada’s business community in its search of hidden talent pools.

Existing underutilized groups are pools of workers with skills and abilities that are being overlooked by potential employers even during labour shortages periods.

We gather and disseminate information, share best practices, and enable vital connections that continually add value to the communities of skilled professionals, community partners, and businesses.
