The work of this Local Immigration Partnership will be supported by an Immigrant Advisory Group or the “IAG”. The IAG will provide feedback on the LIP and it’s work, share and promote promising practices and research, and serve as a resource for community service providers. The IAG’s goal is to be “ethno-specific”, to ensure ethnic communities are provided with information they seek, and to encourage participation and involvement within the greater community.
The IAG will be comprised of immigrants who live and work in Brooks, have a broad range of educational and occupational backgrounds, and are willing to share their lived experience as guidance for the Brooks LIP in creating a local strategic plan that is specific to our community.
The IAG meets monthly, on Saturday afternoons.
If you are interested in being part of the IAG, please contact the LIP Coordinator at coordinator@brooksimmigration.ca
