Brooks & County Immigration Services   

BCIS is a not-for-profit organization, which provides settlement and integration services to all immigrants, refugees, and temporary foreign workers. It is a project of Calgary Catholic Immigration Society.

 

Francophone Association of Brooks   

The Francophone Association of Brooks has many programs and services for speakers of French. If you are looking for unique community interactions in French, this association has many opportunities for you.

  SPEC Association for Children and Families   

Established in 1978, the SPEC Association for Children & Families, began as a fee-for-service program with Alberta Social Services and Community Health. Since SPEC’s incorporation in 1979, the programs have continued to grow and offer services for children and families under the guidance and leadership of dedicated board members, staff, and volunteers.

SPEC is focused on the positive development of kids by providing a continuum of services from early intervention (prevention) to high intervention during crisis. By providing family support services, SPEC continues to focus on a variety of preventive and educational programs that promotes a caring and committed Community where kids are resilient and valued.

Brooks & Community Adult Learning Council   

BROOKS COMMUNITY ADULT LEARNING COUNCIL (BCALC) is a non-profit organization which was incorporated in 2003. BCALC is part of a network of over 80 Community Adult Learning Council’s (CALC)’s which operate within Alberta. These organizations operate under Alberta Advanced Education and Technology. They were established to provide part-time, non-credit opportunities to adults within specified geographic boundaries.
BCALC is mandated to provide programming in the areas of Adult Basic Literacy, English as a Second Language, Employability Enhancement, and General Interest courses.
